Happy Fall Everyone!

This is the Hash's favorite time of the year! Grant and I both love it when the weather starts to cool down, we can open the windows, and start gearing up for the holidays! Okay, that last part was just me. Grant "gears up" by stopping at Kansas Sampler on Christmas Eve and tries to buy something KU for everyone on his list.

I am starting to get into the swing of things at work. Although I am much busier than I think I have ever been, I am truly loving my job and I can honestly say for the first time in my career that I am right where I belong. It doesn't hurt that I have my BFF right next door whenever I need her and I live literally 2 minutes from school. I haven't been late or gotten lost yet! Yes, I did get lost going to work one time a couple years ago. No, I don't want to talk about it.

I digress, anyway, my days are filled with finishing up another (yes, another) Master's Degree and grading an endless paper trail that my 9o students have created for me. By night I am playing with the little pumpkin, cooking dinner and other baked goods, doing laundry, catching up on my reality tv and getting to sleep ASAP so that I can get up, work out, and do it all over again.

Grant is...well, I don't know what he does at work...doing something lawyerish by day and watching sports, staining our new deck furniture :):):) and playing with Everett by night. It's funny how he tells Ev, "Big game tonight Buddy!" They are all over playing on the floor and watching football!

Everett and my mom are getting into their routine as well. Nana comes over in the morning and finishes feeding Everett breakfast. Then it is off for a walk, nap, and running errands. Everett loves all the attention as well as Nana and Grampie's Toy Friday. Yes, every Friday he picks out a new toy. No, he isn't spoiled at all.

The first couple fall outings for the Hashs included the Helen Gold 5K that my dad and I have participated in for 7 years, Old Settlers, the Irish Fest and a Suicide Awareness Walk. We are a family about town. Stay tuned for more Fall Festive Fun!
